Have a safe July 4th Weekend!

Tri-Community Ambulance wishes you and your family a happy and safe July 4th holiday!

Remember to keep the fireworks and other pyrotechnics to the professionals! According to the NFPA, in 2013, fireworks caused an estimated 15,600 reported fires in the U.S., including 1,400 structure fires, 200 vehicle fires, and 14,000 outside and other fires. Additionally, according to the CPSC, more than one-third (35%) of the people seen in emergency rooms for fireworks injuries from June 20-July 20, 2014 were under 15; nine percent were under five.

Peace Bridge illumination to honor responders!

Posted on March 9, 2017 at 10:45 PM

Tri-Community is honored to have received notice from the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority that our proposal has been approved!

On April 29th and April 30th, 2017 from dusk and running until 1am, the PEACE BRIDGE will be lit in RED, BLUE, GREEN and GOLD colors to honor ALL emergency responders during the annual FASNY Recruit NY Open House weekend!

Nearly 70% of your responders nationwide are 100% VOLUNTEER! This upcoming weekend helps highlight the need for more volunteers and helps us reach out into the community to attract more help.

You may ask the significance of the colors. Emergency Services is a TEAM approach, and all parts must work together to deliver a quality product to our residents in their time of need.

RED - honoring Firefighters.

BLUE - honoring Law Enforcement

GREEN - honoring EMS

The last color, GOLD, represents the often forgotten, or "silent" heroes. Tri-Community appreciates and honors our Dispatchers and Emergency Communications workers. The first link in the emergency services chain is 911. The first responder you talk to in a crisis is the dispatcher, who in turn sends out the appropriate department and resources. Tri-Community applauds "the voice that follows the tone",

Tri-Community invites you to check out your local fire station or EMS Squad next month to see what services they offer and how you may help. Tri-Community also invites you to enjoy the colors on the Peace Bridge as they shine bright for ALL emergency responders.

Donate to Tri-Community in 2017!

Posted on February 4, 2017 at 4:25 AM

A lot of people make new years resolutions and quickly abandon them. Tri-Community urges people to make giving back a priority in 2017!

Tri-Community is always looking for new recruits to join our proud ranks. Did you know Tri-Community is a 100% volunteer organization and 501(c)(3) charitable organization? If you are looking to donate, and ensure your dollar stays local; why not consider donating to Tri-Community!

Tri-Community receives zero taxpayer dollars from any of the towns or jurisdictions we serve. While we charge a nominal fee to ensure we have proper equipment and vehicles at the ready for the next emergency, we are always looking to raise more money to reinvest into you, our neighbors!

The cost of everything is going up. Fuel, insurance premiums, electrical and heat costs, EMS equipment and vehicle costs and medication costs. Unfortunately, we do not see price adjustments that lower our cost of operating; we normally and routinely see an increase in the cost of operations year after year. To help with project costs, Tri-Community holds fundraisers each year to help increase these accounts and make our projects a reality. Recent advancements have included our cardiac monitors, new ambulance (unit 330) and patient cot/gurneys; just to name a few.

Consider giving today!

Record Breaking Month in January 2017!

Posted on February 1, 2017 at 8:30 AM

Tri-Community would like to thank our members for a very busy and very successful first month of 2017! It is fair to say we just concluded the busiest month in company history!

While our incident numbers are still being tallied, it is safe to say we are well above this time last year! Once the data crunchers are done, we will share our results on our company website!

Even more impressive is the TOTAL VOLUNTEER HOURS and VOLUNTEER HOUR GROWTH we saw this past month! We ended the month with 3,020.50 VOLUNTEER HOURS served; which is an increase of 58.83% over this time last year. Thanks to our volunteers, we are able to manage the growth in calls received!

According to the NVFC, "the number of volunteer firefighters in the United States has declined by about 12% since 1984". Tri-Community is truly blessed and appreciative of our volunteers who continue to serve at impressive levels each year!
