Active Shooter Drill at Niagara Wheatfield!

Posted on March 17, 2017 at 6:55 PM

It is a topic that we never want to think about, nor want to ever happen.  But, in 1999 this became a reality in Columbine, and since that date there have been more incidents.

As an EMS organization, we must train and prepare for the worst.

On March 17, 2017 Tri-Community sent our ENTIRE FLEET to Niagara Wheatfield schools to prepare for this type of event.  Involved with us were all local Fire, EMS and Law Enforcement agencies.

Busy weekend for Tri-Community volunteers!

Posted on October 17, 2016 at 12:30 AM

Tri-Community volunteers have had a busy weekend!

First, several of our volunteer responders are in Syracuse, NY at the OnCenter for the annual NYS Department of Health EMS Conference ("vital Signs Weekend") to earn CME credits for their EMT and Paramedic certifications.  Each year responders must log Continuing Medical Education hours to be used to recertify.  A big thank you to those members who gave up this nice fall weekend to spend in lecture halls and conference rooms!

While this was going on, volunteers were on staff at the Niagara Wheatfield versus Jamestown highschool football game at Niagara Wheatfield High School.  Our unit 1 and unit 3 were on hand to provide EMS coverage in the event of an injury requiring transport.

Lastly, Tri-Community has received a total of 14 calls since Friday thru Sunday at noon!  3 of these calls were mutual aid to nearby districts (1 City of Niagara Falls call and 2 calls mutual aid to Cambria fire company).

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers!
