Recruit NY Open House 2017

Posted on May 2, 2017 at 8:35 AM

This past weekend members from the Tri-Community Ambulance Service participated in 2 open house events aimed at recruiting new members to join our proud ranks and rich history of serving others!

The first day of the open house we were at the Bergholz Fire Company. The second day of the open house we were at the St. Johnsburg Fire Company.

Between the information booths, speaking to the public, giving ambulance tours, participating in Jaws-Of-Life demo/drills and watching Mercy Flight land, we were quite busy!

We are proud to report that we indeed were successful at recruiting more responders to our ranks!

Recruit NY Event Locations Posted!

Tri-Community Ambulance Service, Inc. NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Each year FASNY hosts a "Recruit NY" weekend aimed at educating the public on what our local volunteer emergency services do, and how they need your help. Most people do not realize that when they call 911, 70% of our nations responders are 100% volunteer! These men and women leave their families, friends and even work to answer an emergency within the community.

To ensure we have the proper staffing for when the alarm sounds, ALL volunteer agencies must continue to recruit annually! Did you know in 2016, Tri-Community had 1,450 calls within our community?

This year Tri-Community is grateful to partner with 2 of our local fire companies to have events on BOTH of the event days.

How can YOU help? Many ways, actually. Come out and learn what YOUR local service does for YOU! If you do not have the time to volunteer, or the serious nature of this business is not your cup of tea, help us promote this event to your friends and family. Please share this post to everyone!

On our company facebook page, there are 2 events posted for the recruitment weekend. Please help us share these events so we can get more people to these fire stations to help us help you!

This year we will be hosting the recruitment weekend at:

Saturday April 29th: BERGHOLZ FIRE COMPANY on Niagara Road

Sunday April 30th: ST JOHNSBURG FIRE COMPANY on Ward Road

Please share our events and check out our company website for up-to-date company information!

Thank you!

Tri-Community handles busy day including fatal MVA

Posted on February 15, 2017 at 6:55 PM

It has been a busy day for Tri-Community responders.  We have had equipment on the street since 10am between 4 seperate calls.

One call, with Bergholz Fire, was for a fatal MVA.  Our thoughts and prayers for all involved.

From the news:

WHEATFIELD, N.Y. (WIVB) — At least one person is dead as the result of a crash in the Town of Wheatfield.

The crash, which occurred Wednesday afternoon, closed off Lockport Rd. from Nash Rd. to Ward Rd.

It is not clear who was killed, or what the circumstances surrounding the crash were.

News 4 will provide more information as soon as it becomes available.

Tri-Community handles MCI (Car versus school bus MVA)

Posted on November 17, 2016 at 10:20 AM

Yesterday was another busy day for Tri-Community volunteers! A total of 8 calls were handled, including 1 mutual aid request and 1 motor vehicle accident involving a school bus.

For the MVA, Tri-Community would like to thank all of our responders that came out to assist which allowed for numerous ALS providers on scene as well as our Units 1 and 2. Bergholz Fire Company handled command and operations, and requested the assistance from area fire companies for coverage as well as traffic control. We would like to thank our brothers and sisters from Twin City Ambulance who responded 1 ambulance for assistance until we could determine the total number of resources that would actually be needed.

Yesterday put our responders MCI training to practice, and the incident was handled very well by all those that were involved! Close to three dozen patients were evaluated!

Thank you to representatives from the Niagara Wheatfield School District, Bergholz Fire Company, Sanborn Fire Company, Shawnee Fire Company, St. Johnsburg Fire Company, Twin City Ambulance, Niagara County Sheriffs Office, New York State Police and our very own responders from Tri-Community Ambulance!
